Discipleship Studies for Fall 2018

Two new groups begin October 7.

Abide in Christ

Abide in Christ is a Bible study based on Andrew Murray’s "The True Vine" and delivered in a contemporary, interactive format. This 6-session study is designed for new and growing believers in Jesus Christ to learn the secrets of victorious living and to develop a lifestyle that bears lasting spiritual fruit.

These two courses are from the Growing Disciples Series developed by Claude King, co-author of Experiencing God, and will be presented back-to-back this semester.

Book cost $10.00.
Begins Sunday, October 7, at 4:30 p.m.

7 sessions - Facilitated by Julie Fossier

Pre-registration for this course has concluded but you can register when you arrive Sunday afternoon.

Pray Like This

This study shows believers that following Jesus’ Model Prayer will lead them to fall more in love with God and grow in their desire to engage in conversation with Him. You’ll see the significance of starting your prayers by acknowledging God as Father, learn what it means for His name to be recognized as holy, and discover what you’re asking God to do when you pray for His kingdom to come and His will to be done. You’ll see what Jesus meant when He told us to ask God for daily bread, and understand the importance of asking for forgiveness in your prayers. The study ends by emphasizing the need to ask God to deliver us from the evil one.

Anyone Can Be Saved

Anyone Can Be Saved articulates a biblical-theological explanation of the doctrine of salvation by ten scholars, pastors, and leaders among Southern Baptists. They examine Scripture, the Baptist Faith and Message, and a variety of biblical, theological, and philosophical writings that address the doctrine of salvation. These authors are unified in their conviction that any person who hears the gospel can be saved, a view that was found among earlier Baptists as well as other Christian groups today.

Understanding the Book of Revelation

Understanding the Book of Revelation and other “latter days” scriptures in the Bible provide insights on decoding God’s Plans for our future. Many Christians dread the future, but we don’t have to fear. Is it a lack of understanding God’s plans, or a breakdown in completely trusting God? Come study with us as we unpack the Book of Revelation and seek to understand its true meaning.  Remember, of the sixty-six books in the Bible, the Book of Revelation is the only book to promise spiritual blessings to anyone who reads, studies, or teaches its contents.
