We must not forget that the Great Commission is not complete until we teach others all the ways of Christ. We have already observed in chapter 2 the devotion that the early believers had to the teaching of the apostles. Acts 11:25-26 further explains the devotion of the apostles to teach the converts. We must be equally devoted to evangelism and discipleship. In fact, evangelism is not complete until converts are taught all the ways of Christ.

The impact of their discipleship is evident in that these in Antioch are called Christians by the townspeople. Their lives so resembled the life of Christ that they began to be called “Christians.” Furthermore, we see the evidence of their discipleship by their voluntary love offering gift to those enduring a famine in Judea.

There is a hymn that says, “Let others see Jesus in you.” May that be true in our lives!
