Have you noticed something in Acts? Every time in the book of Acts, when there is a strategic moment of growth, there is also a significant conflict. In the beginning, things are off to a fast start, but there is also persecution, sin, and an internal struggle in the church. We learn that conflict comes in a variety of ways. There is practical conflict, theological conflict, and relational conflict. Acts 15 gives us an example of theological conflict. If anything, Acts 15 teaches us that any conflict must be handled quickly, Biblically, and decisively.
One thing is for certain. Evangelism comes to a halt when there is a conflict. We’ve got to move through the conflict so that evangelism can flourish.
