What are service times?
The Legacy Worship service is offered on-campus and live-streamed at 9:00 a.m. each Sunday. It is the worship style associated with First Baptist Lafayette through the years, featuring choir, orchestra, hymns and anthems. The Modern Worship service is offered on-campus and live-streamed at 11:00 a.m. each Sunday. Led by our praise team and band, it brings together the best of today's Christian music in a service of celebration and praise. Childcare for birth through Kindergarten is available at this service with registration at fbclaf.nucleus.church/preschool-registration. Currently, we are following CDC recommendations concerning social distancing and other protocols related to COVID-19 in both services. Bible study groups are currently meeting via Zoom at 9:00 or 11:00 a.m. Sundays. Our midweek service and other Wednesday activities are currently suspended.

What is the worship service like?
Services generally last about one hour. The 11:00 a.m. service includes more modern music. The 11:00 a.m. service is interpreted for the deaf. Our pastor brings a Bible-based sermon for about 30 minutes. If you would like to hear messages online you can visit our sermon archive.
How do I become a member of First Baptist Lafayette?
At the end of the pastor's message, he will invite those who would like to become part of our church family to come forward. We sing a song during this time so that people can come to the front and talk to one of our ministers about their needs.
If you would like to become a part of First Baptist Church you can do so:
- By profession of faith - if you are not yet a Christian but would like to be, or if you are a Christian and have never been baptized by immersion as a believer, our minister will pray with you and guide you in this decision.
- By transfer of letter - If you are a Christian and a member of another church we will write to that church and request that a letter of transfer is sent.
- By statement - If you are a Christian and have been baptized as a believer, but do not have a current membership in another church, we can receive your membership on affirmation of the above.
We look forward to seeing you at First Baptist Lafayette.
